About Mariana Travlou:
Mariana is a psychologist and a clinical researcher at the University of Oxford and at the University Research Institute of Athens, Greece. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Behavioural Neuroscience & Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston, and a master’s degree in Child & Adolescent Psychology, from King’s College London. Throughout her studies she gained practical experience in assessments & psychotherapy, particularly in delivering psychological interventions to children, adolescents & young adults at the Michael Rutter centre.

Since May 2019, Mariana has been working as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Oxford. She is part of a team working on a clinical trial aimed at developing an online cognitive therapy platform for adolescents with social anxiety disorder. As of January 2021, Mariana has also been involved in a ground-breaking Government led research project, focusing on COVID-19 relief. Part of her job is to develop and examine the effectiveness of a parent cognitive intervention for children with behavioural, conduct & neurodevelopmental problems, whilst conducting research to evaluate the effects of COVID-19 on mental health. Since September 2021, Mariana has begun her post-graduate training as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist at the University of Oxford.
