About Arshia Amin Choudhury:

Arshia is a trainee clinical psychologist and has experience working with adolescents and adults with depression and anxiety. She enjoys working with clients from different ethnic backgrounds and as a multi-lingual professional, understands the role and influence of language and culture towards our mental health. She has also worked at a neurodevelopmental service previously, conducting assessments for autism and ADHD. Cognitive-behavioural therapy, family therapy, and relational therapy are the therapeutic modalities she usually works with.

Prior to the doctorate, she completed her MSc in Developmental Psychology and Clinical Practice at UCL. Her dissertation focused on understanding the different forms of outcomes adolescents with depression have after therapy and the MSc helped develop her interest in neuropsychology, trauma-focused therapy, and mentalisation theory.

During her undergraduate years, she worked in an in-patient unit with clients with psychosis and substance-use concerns. She also employed cognitive-behavioural therapy to work with challenging behaviour in clients and concerns around anxiety and depression.
